SCAN STEERING is the marine steering-system product line of Danish engineering company AS SCAN. It specializes in complete electro-hydraulic steering gear systems, rudder control systems, hydraulic power units, pump units, steering controls, alarms and rudder-angle indication systems for commercial and working vessels. AS SCAN states that it has manufactured and delivered more than 1,500 Scan Steering ship systems since 1962, while its current steering portfolio serves fishing vessels, workboats, yachts, ferries and other commercial vessels.
